"JULIUS CAESAR is a classic story of pride and envy, arrogance and honor, opportunity and tragic strategic errors. Written in one of the most productive times in Shakespeare's life, JULIUS CAESAR blends the historical events of the reign of this iconic roman emperor with tragic elements and compelling language creating one of Shakespeare's greatest tragedys."

THE COMEDY OF ERRORS
The Acting Company and the Guthrie Theater
February 12 - May 6, 2012

Picture

Sid is once again appearing in The Acting Company's acclaimed production of The Comedy of Errors, produced in association with the Guthrie Theater, and directed by The Acting Company's Associate Artistic Director Ian Belknap. This season, Sid takes over the role of Dromio of Syracuse. The production is being performed in repertory with Julius Caesar, having its premeire in Cedar Rapids, IA, followed by a national tour.

"THE COMEDY OF ERRORS, one of Shakespeare’s earliest plays, is also his shortest and one of his most farcical — a major part of the humor derived from slapstick, puns and wordplay. The story of two sets of identical twins accidentally separated at birth involves a series of wild mishaps based on mistaken identities leading to wrongful attacks, a near-seduction, an arrest and accusations of infidelity, theft, madness and demonic possession."
